Why sex after 40 is better than at 20

1. I'm a lot less concerned about the size of my breasts than he is with his.

2. I don't take my esthetic cues from porn stars or Brazilian wax torture techniques. This boreal forest is a national heritage site and will never be clear-cut.

3. Do you think he'll like me in this bra and panty set? Oh, wait. I don't care.

4. Do you think he'll bristle that it cost me $250? Oh, wait. Still don't care.

5. My partner and I don't need prompting to use protection. One look at our kids has us racing to the family-planning crates at Costco.

6. The battery-operated novelties that once made us snicker aren't so funny when they've got us pilfering Double-As from our kid's Baby Alive in the dead of night.

7. If he has to listen to my ramblings about Hugh Jackman in the Wolverine getup, I can listen to his about Halle Berry. And Dougie Gilmour.

8. How many guys in their twenties does it take to pleasure a woman over 40? Two: one who knows not pack your eggs with your canned goods; the other to deliver the pizza just late enough that it's free.

9. Between work and children, sex after 40 can make you feel young again, especially considering your chances of getting any are about the same as when you were in junior high with headgear.

10. Once work and kids are out of the picture, sex over 50 can also make you feel young again. It's like college, except you've got your own place, no student loans (of your own), and you and your partner actually know how to have sex.
