Jane Fonda may have ruled the '80s fitness scene, but as VHS tapes fast-forwarded to the '90s, Tamilee Webb became the new aerobics queen. Her Legs, Buns and Abs of Steel videos set a new benchmark for a toned physique—stronger, longer, leaner.
Webb turned 50 last year, and although she still has a body to die for, she admits she has to work a little harder to stay fit—especially when it comes to her legs. "I need to mix it up more," says Webb. "I do things to challenge my body and keep it guessing."
For cardio, that means keeping things fun and doing activities that target the lower body. "Hiking, cycling or even playing soccer with the kids is a great way to condition the lower body," says Webb. "So is dancing." Of course, you also need to eat right and do a regular strength-training routine. But there's no need to break out the old Legs of Steel video; Webb created the following leg workout for More readers. Do the following exercises twice a week, and you'll have legs fit for the cover of Webb's next DVD.
Personal trainer Mary Phaneuf, 44, demonstrates the exclusive More leg workout to get gorgeous gams.
