Each week Natalie MacLean will be sharing a great wine with us on the blog. You, however, will have to come up with the excuse for getting together with friends to drink them! This week we kick off with a white and a red:
Creekside Estate Winery Shiraz, Niagara, Ontario
I love this wine! Very spicy and full-bodied with black pepper and fleshy dark plum notes. Juicy and smooth in texture. Pair with: braised lamb shank, hearty tomato and meat pasta dishes, duck confit and just about anything barbecued.

Drink: 2011-2015
Score: 90/100
Zuccardi Chardonnay Viognier Serie A
Mendoza, Argentina
A terrific, lovely white wine with floral and white peach notes. No heavy oak on this chardonnay, which makes it perfect for early spring sipping on the patio. Pair with roast chicken, pasta in a cheese sauce and sunshine.

Drink: 2012-2015
Score: 89/100
